Simple Life Omusubi offers a diet that includes nutrient rich whole food, creating balance through an awareness of the natural energies of the food - taking into consideration of individual conditions and needs. The cooking style is based on a Japanese macrobiotic diet.
 
When I started learning macrobiotics, I felt a little bit trapped beteween its concept and the reality. Although, I agreed with the principles intellectually, my body was not happy to implement the diet completely. The more I tried to follow the diet, the more I craved junk food. 
It’s definitely fabulous to include wholesome, nourishing food in your 
daily life, and you will notice real changes when you start to eat real 
food. 
But I am not a big fan of rigid adherence to macrobiotics. In my experience how you and your body feel is more important than what you eat. 
Instead of immediately trying to achieve a "flawless" macrobiotic diet and running out of motivation along the way, it is better to start with what you are happy with and gradually approach a your own ideal diet from there. Your body will eventually start telling you it would enjoy the homecooked rice with sesame salt more than the greasy takeaway pizza.
